Fakhar pays surprise visit to excise registration directorate

\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, paid a surprise visit to the Directorate of Excise Registration, at Shami Road, in Peshawar, where he directly interacted with citizens and inquired about issues faced by them regarding departmental services.
\nDuring the visit, the Provincial Minister inspected various sections of the Directorate, including the Information Technology Cell, Registration Branch and other public service wings.
\nHe held direct discussions with citizens visiting the office for different official services, listened to their issues and directed on-the-spot to the concerned officers for immediate resolution of several public service matters.
\nOn the occasion, Director General Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Abdul Haleem Khan, along with other officers, briefed the Provincial Minister on the functions, responsibilities and public services being provided under the Directorate of Registration.
\nInstructing the officers and staff, the Provincial Minister emphasized that every citizen visiting the department is entitled to respect, dignity and effective service delivery.He directed that all departmental services must be provided within stipulated timelines without any delay or hindrance.
\nSyed Fakhar Jehan stated that ensuring public convenience and timely redressal of grievances is among the top priorities of the provincial government.He said that government offices exist to serve the people and must ensure justice, transparency and non-discriminatory provision of services.
\nThe Provincial Minister strictly instructed the officers and staff to maintain courteous behavior, provide complete guidance to every visitor and ensure that no delay or negligence occurs in service delivery.
\nHe remarked that government officials are public servants and must perform their duties with dedication, sincerity and professionalism.He further made it clear that any complaint related to delays, inefficiency or unnecessary procedural complications in the Excise Department will not be tolerated.
\nThe Provincial Minister also issued several directives to further improve the service delivery mechanism, stressing that public trust in government institutions must be restored and strengthened, which is only possible through improved conduct, transparency and swift services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
