\nTo ease chronic traffic congestion caused by the unchecked movement of rickshaws, the district administration on Friday launched a major operation against illegally operating rickshaw in Mingora city.
\nThe operation was led by Additional Assistant Commissioner and Traffic Magistrate Syed Imran Ali Shah, in coordination with the SP Traffic, and officials of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) and Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA).
\nDuring the drive, carried out in and around the old bus terminal area (Adda), several illegally operating rickshaws were seized and shifted to the premises of Grassy Ground and nearby plazas.
\nOfficials said the operation aimed to remove illegal rickshaws from city roads to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and reduce daily congestion faced by commuters.
\nThe administration said the crackdown would continue in the coming days as part of a broader plan to regulate traffic in Mingora.
