{"id":522452,"date":"2025-12-28T01:35:36","date_gmt":"2025-12-27T20:35:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=522452"},"modified":"2025-12-28T01:35:36","modified_gmt":"2025-12-27T20:35:36","slug":"94891-digital-wallets-opened-for-bisp-in-sargodha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/94891-digital-wallets-opened-for-bisp-in-sargodha\/","title":{"rendered":"94,891 digital wallets opened for BISP in Sargodha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SARGODHA<br \/>\nA total of 94,891 wallet accounts have been opened under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in the district, covering all seven tehsils, including Bhalwal, Bhera, Sillanwali, Sahiwal, Sargodha,Shahpur and Kot Momin.<br \/>\nIn an exclusive interview on Saturday, Malik Safder Awan, Deputy Director of BISP Sargodha, and Madam Sumaira, Assistant Director, provided details of the ongoing account opening process.<br \/>\nThey revealed that out of the total 94,891 accounts, the distribution across tehsils is as follows: Bhalwal with 7,000, Bhera with 3,800, Sillanwali with 6,980, Sahiwal with 5,683, Sargodha with 48,000, Shahpur with 11,995, and Kot Momin with11,423 accounts.<br \/>\nThe officials further noted that the total caseload of BISP beneficiaries in the district stands at 213,727, with around 55 percent of the account opening process completed.<br \/>\nThe remaining beneficiaries will be facilitated in the coming days.<br \/>\nThe BISP initiative, implemented in collaboration with telecom companies Ufone, Telenor, and Zong, allows women beneficiaries to withdraw funds, pay utility bills, and transfer money through authorized telecom agents.<br \/>\nThe program supports the Prime Minister\u2019s vision of advancing a cashless economy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SARGODHA A total of 94,891 wallet accounts have been opened under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in the district, covering all seven tehsils, including Bhalwal, Bhera, Sillanwali, Sahiwal, Sargodha,Shahpur and Kot Momin.
