\nA new digital fingerprint verification system has been launched through a collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
\nOfficials confirmed that applicants can now verify their fingerprints directly through NADRA\u2019s Pak ID mobile application, making the procedure more accessible for users at home and abroad.
\nIn situations where fingerprint scanning often fails due to worn fingerprints or technical issues, the system will automatically offer an alternative facial verification option to prevent delays.
\nDirector General of Immigration and Passports, Mustafa Jamal, noted that a large number of overseas Pakistanis had reported difficulties with the previous online fingerprint system.
\nHe said the new verification tools are expected to provide considerable relief to expatriates as well as senior citizens, who frequently encounter issues with biometric authentication.Jamal added that the government is committed to integrating modern technology across its digital services.
