{"id":522824,"date":"2025-12-30T09:18:27","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T04:18:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=522824"},"modified":"2025-12-30T09:18:27","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T04:18:27","slug":"minister-calls-for-swift-completion-of-pehur-canal-extension-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/minister-calls-for-swift-completion-of-pehur-canal-extension-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister calls for swift completion of Pehur canal extension project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DLP Report<br \/>\nPESHAWAR<br \/>\nAn important meeting regarding the Pehur High Level Canal Extension Project was held under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s Minister for Irrigation, Riaz Khan.<br \/>\nThe meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Labour Aqibullah Khan, Member of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser Khan, MNA Shahram Khan Tarakai, Secretary Irrigation Department Abdul Basit Khan, and senior officials of the relevant departments, a handout said.<br \/>\nDuring the meeting, officials gave a detailed briefing to the Provincial Minister and other participants on the progress made so far, ongoing works, and challenges being faced in the project.<br \/>\nThe briefing also covered various phases of the project, installation of pipelines, and upcoming targets. Addressing the meeting Provincial Minister for Irrigation Riaz Khan directed the concerned officials to further accelerate the pace of work on the project and to submit an immediate and comprehensive report on the resolution of any obstacles or issues. He made it clear that no delay would be tolerated in this important public welfare project.<br \/>\nThe Provincial Minister stated that the supply of water through the pipelines would be ensured by March 30, 2026, which would not only benefit agricultural land but also bring significant improvement to the irrigation system in the area.<br \/>\nHe added that the provincial government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Muhammad Suhail Afridi, is taking practical steps for agricultural development and efficient utilization of water resources, and the Pehur High Level Canal Extension Project is an important component of these efforts.<br \/>\nHe emphasized that all concerned departments must utilize mutual cooperation and professional expertise to complete the project within the stipulated time frame so that the public can benefit from its outcomes at the earliest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DLP Report PESHAWAR An important meeting regarding the Pehur High Level Canal Extension Project was held under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s Minister for Irrigation, Riaz Khan.
