\nAn important meeting held here on Tuesday with provincial minister for higher education Meena Khan Afridi in the chair, reviewed the recruitment of staff at various public sector universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nAccording to a statement issued here, the meeting was attended by vice-chancellors of several universities including University of Gomal, University of Malakand, and Kohat.
\nThe forum discussed in detail the provincial government process and permits required for hiring employees in government-run universities.
\nMinister Afridi emphasized that universities with existing permits from the provincial department of higher education and finance should proceed with their recruitment processes without delay.
\nOn the other hand, universities without such permits were urged to expedite the process of obtaining the necessary approvals.
\nSpeaking at the meeting, Minister Afridi explained that the purpose of the recruitment permits was to ensure proper administrative and financial oversight for universities.
\nThe Minister for higher education assured the participants that the provincial government is committed to providing all necessary support to strengthen the higher education sector.
\n\u201cEmpowering universities is central to our mission, as we aim to enhance the effectiveness and capacity of the higher education sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,\u201d Afridi stated.
