The police responded with effective retaliatory action in self-defense.<br \/>\nAs a result of the exchange of fire, the suspect was injured and arrested. He was immediately shifted to the hospital while in police custody. The arrested injured suspect was identified as Dawood alias Laddu, son of Jahanzeb, a resident of Iran Abad Parahoti.<br \/>\nDuring the operation, police recovered one pistol, 2,050 grams of hashish, and a motorcycle from the suspect\u2019s possession. A review of records revealed that the arrested suspect has been involved in serious crimes such as attempted murder, drug dealing, and illegal possession of weapons, and that a total of 10 cases are registered against him at various police stations.<br \/>\nFurther legal action and investigation are underway, and operations by Mardan Police against drug dealers and criminal elements will continue without interruption.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR An exchange of gunfire took place between Takhtbhai police and a drug dealer in Mardan district, resulting in the arrest of a wanted suspect in an injured condition.
