ISLAMABAD
\nThe Kashgar Featured Products Promotion and the 2nd Trade Fair was held in Kashgar, Xinjiang, bringing together overseas buyers and local enterprises to deepen economic and trade cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, China Economic Net (CEN) reported on Wednesday.
\nThe event attracted more than 40 purchasing representatives and heads of chambers of commerce from countries including Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Iran, alongside over 150 local companies from Kashgar.
\nAt the signing ceremony, eight cooperation intentions were reached with a total value of more than 19.6 million yuan (about USD 2.8 million).
\nThe agreements covered a wide range of sectors, including new energy, industrial and mining machinery and equipment, building materials, furniture and hardware, as well as home appliances and daily consumer goods.
\nAli, a business representative from Pakistan, said the promotion event offered valuable opportunities for international partners.
\n\u201cAs a core hub of the Silk Road Economic Belt, Kashgar has not only built a broad bridge for trade, but also enabled us to closely connect with partners in Central Asia, South Asia and beyond.<\/p>\n
