\nAs the government of Balochistan continues to prioritize reliable drinking water for communities across Gwadar district, another milestone has been achieved with the restoration of potable water supply to Chorr Bandan near Pasni after 15 years, Gwadar Pro reported quoting a statement issued Wednesday by the Directorate General Public Relations.
\nThe relief comes through the rehabilitation of a key water supply scheme, including the laying of an approximately 15-kilometer pipeline from Pasni town to Chorr Bandan to ensure the delivery of clean drinking water. The project was completed in about two and a half months.
\nThe scheme was formally inaugurated by Member of the Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch, who praised the departments involved for helping resolve the long-standing shortage. He said the project reflects the provincial government\u2019s commitment to serving public needs through practical and sustained initiatives.
\nResidents of Chorr Bandan welcomed the restoration of water supply and expressed hope that development and welfare projects across Gwadar district would continue with the same focus. In a separate update on the broader water situation, the Gwadar Development Authority said in a statement released Monday that water supply to Gwadar city is currently being sustained through multiple sources despite ongoing dry conditions.
\nAccording to GDA figures, Shadi Kor Dam is supplying 16.35 million gallons of water, the GPA\/GDA desalination plant 9.48 million gallons and Mirani Dam 5.21 million gallons, while 42 tankers are also supporting delivery across the city. In total, about 31.04 million gallons of water are being made available daily for urban and suburban consumers.
