\nA three-day Youth Social Media Change Makers Summit concluded at the Baragali Campus of the University of Peshawar, bringing together young social media enthusiasts from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to explore the constructive role of digital platforms in youth empowerment and social development.
\nThe summit was held from December 31, 2025 to January 2, 2026, and was organised by WQ Softwares in collaboration with the Department of History, University of Peshawar, with sponsorship from the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nAround 50 youth participants from different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took part in the event. The sessions focused on the importance of social media as a tool for positive change, responsible digital citizenship, youth-led advocacy, storytelling for social impact, and countering misinformation.
\nSpeakers and facilitators highlighted how social media, when used ethically and strategically, can amplify youth voices, promote civic engagement, and support entrepreneurship, education, and community development. Interactive discussions and group activities encouraged participants to design digital campaigns addressing local social issues.
\nParticipants and organisers lauded the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for its continued support in creating learning platforms for young people.
\nThe Directorate was appreciated for investing in youth capacity building and recognising the potential of digital skills in shaping future leadership. Speakers noted that such initiatives reflect the government\u2019s commitment to empowering youth through innovation, inclusion, and forward-looking policies.
\nRepresentatives from the organising team stated that the summit aimed to transform young social media users into responsible change makers, capable of using digital platforms for awareness, social cohesion, and positive narrative building about the province.
\nAt the closing ceremony, participants expressed gratitude to the Directorate of Youth Affairs KP, WQ Softwares, and the University of Peshawar for providing a productive learning environment.
\nCertificates were distributed among participants, with a resolve to take the lessons learned back to their communities and digital spaces.
