\nProvincial Chairman of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, has rejected the federal government\u2019s claims of economic development and prosperity, stating that true economic progress cannot be achieved unless the common people themselves are economically stable and prosperous.
\nHe expressed these views while addressing a gathering in Mingora on the occasion of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Provincial Deputy General Secretary Fazl Rehman Nono joining the QWP along with dozens of his associates.
\nOn the occasion, QWP District Swat Chairman Sher Bahadurzada Khan, General Secretary Razaullah Advocate, party officials, and a large number of workers were also present.
\nWelcoming the new entrants, Sikandar Sherpao said that a collective struggle would be launched to safeguard the rights of KP and its people.
\nHe termed the federal government\u2019s claims of improving economic indicators as unrealistic and misleading, adding that the rising poverty and growing deprivation of the masses clearly contradict such assertions.
\nCriticizing the provincial government, he said that instead of focusing on political interests and objectives, it should prioritize serving the poor and protecting the province\u2019s interests. He alleged that provincial resources are being wasted on political gatherings and activities, while the PTI-led government remains indifferent to public welfare.
\nSikandar Sherpao further warned that the writ of the government is weakening with each passing day, resulting in a deteriorating law and order situation across the province. He said that incidents of target killings and lawlessness have become routine, reflecting the failure of both provincial and federal policies.
\nHe also criticized the federal government, stating that its attitude suggests that KP has been excluded from its priorities, as no serious efforts are being made to address the province\u2019s long-standing deprivation and backwardness.
\nExpressing concern over the suspension of wheat and flour supplies to the province by Punjab, he warned that such measures would lead to a sharp increase in flour prices, further aggravating the hardships faced by the people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
