\nGwadar Women Garment Factory, also known as Gwadar Women\u2019s Development Employment Center, completed all stitching orders from public as well as private enterprises following its 5-years successful operation in the heart of Gwadar Port from 20202 till 2025.
\nSince its establishment in collaboration with the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi and China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC), the women workers of Gwadar Garment Factory earned substantial income by finalizing orders of tailor-made uniforms for the workforce of national and multinational companies.
\nTalking to Gwadar Pro, Gwadar Women Garment Factory supervisor Ms. Zaitoon Abdullah said that factory female workers are now skilled enough to perform up to the mark. She said that from 20220 till 2025, Gwadar Garment Factory has become at least so efficient that it has been stitching almost all uniforms of workers of Chinese companies in Gwadar Port.
\n\u201cOur women tailers are also stitching Pakistan\u2019s traditional men\u2019s clothing as souvenirs for Chinese high-ups, which they wear on Pakistan special days,\u201d she added. She further noted that as women are talented, efforts are being devoted in making embroidery work to scale up revenue. She said that Gwadar Garment Factory is a true success story for creating spiral ripples in women empowerment.
\nWhen asked about this, Gwadar Garment Factory Assistant Manager Zaitoon Abdullah said that manufacturing jobs like tailoring is a rewarding career choice for creative women professionals in Gwadar who like working with fabrics. \u201cWith their skills and knowledge to create garments that meet clients\u2019 expectations, all women working in Gwadar Garment Factory have a bright professional path in various upscale garment industries in Pakistan,\u201d she added.
