\nMinister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar on Tuesday urged society to take decisive action by formulating robust policies, enforcing strict regulatory frameworks, partnering with technology platforms and actively involving parents to shield youth from harmful social media content.
\nTalking to a private news channel on the recent incident involving a young girl being exploited for actions against the state, Minister of State for Education Wajiha Qamar expressed deep concern over the matter and stressed the need for a unified societal approach to protect youth from such influences. She emphasized that incidents like these highlight gaps that must be addressed collectively.
\nWajiha Qamar further stated that the Ministry of Education is taking serious steps in line with its policies and through regulatory authorities, working in collaboration with platforms like Google. Efforts are also being made to enhance teacher training programs to better equip educators to identify and prevent such harmful activities among students.
\nHighlighting broader societal measures, Wajiha Qamar said interfaith and cross-community initiatives are the need of the hour.
