\nAn important meeting held here on Wednesday with Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in the chair, reviewed the framework for a comprehensive development package aimed at the sustainable socio-economic development of the merged districts.
\nAccording to a statement, the meeting meticulously reviewed the proposed framework, identifying priority sectors to ensure the uplift of the tribal belt.
\nThe development package, named \u201cRoshan Qabail\u201d, will include an investment of Rs 1,000 billion, the statement said.
\nThe main focus of the package will be to improve infrastructure, develop human resources, and create employment opportunities in the merged districts to bring them up to the same level as other developed areas in the province.
\nDuring the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that special attention will be given to establishing the Tribal Medical College, an Institute of Modern Sciences, and Safe City Projects as part of the development initiative. He also directed that District Headquarter Hospitals and Tehsil Headquarter Hospitals be established in areas where such facilities are currently lacking.
\nAdditionally, the Chief Minister instructed the creation of a modern sports complex in each merged district and a sports ground at the tehsil level to provide recreational opportunities for the youth.
\nHe also instructed the inclusion of solar energy initiatives for markets, schools, and health facilities, alongside the integration of the Safe City Project for the internal and external entry routes of the merged districts.
\nThe Chief Minister further directed that Rescue 1122 stations, orphanages, and shelter homes be set up in each tehsil of the merged districts.
\nHe emphasized that the health and education sectors should receive significant investment, stating that sustainable development cannot be achieved without substantial improvements in these areas.
\nIn this context, he instructed that increased funding be allocated to sectors such as Science, Technology and Information Technology, Irrigation, Social Welfare, Sports, and Energy to support the overall development of the region.
\nIt was announced that under the **Roshan Qabail package, 1,245 new primary schools would be established in the merged districts, and 463 primary schools and 85 middle schools would be upgraded.
\nFurthermore, 975 primary schools, 240 middle schools, and 125 high schools would undergo rehabilitation.
\nIn addition to this, the package would include the recruitment of 11,500 teachers, along with the provision of various educational scholarships to encourage further academic growth.
\nIn the health sector, the package will address the rehabilitation and functionalization of health facilities, alongside the establishment of telemedicine centers at District Headquarter Hospitals to enhance healthcare access.
\nThe development plan also includes infrastructure projects such as road construction, the development of check dams and irrigation systems, and providing clean drinking water to local communities.
\nAdditionally, industrial infrastructure will be developed, and efforts will be made to solarize schools, health facilities, and markets within the merged districts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
