\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has transitioned 43 public services to a digital payment system, a handout said.
\nAccording to the statement, the step was part of the province\u2019s ongoing efforts to implement a cashless policy aimed at streamlining transactions and improving public service delivery.
\nThe progress of the initiative was reviewed during a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary KP Shahab Ali Shah.
\nThe meeting was attended by administrative secretaries and officials from the Information Technology Board, who are overseeing the implementation of the cashless policy.
\nThe meeting highlighted that services such as land mutation, fard, motor vehicle registration, motor vehicle token tax, university admission fees, and various educational board fees are now available through digital payments.
\nThe KP Information Technology Board was spearheading the shift, with plans to convert 170 services to a cashless mode, 43 of which have already been successfully transitioned.
\nAdditionally, another 23 services were expected to go digital by the end of January 2026, the meeting said.
\nThe meeting also revealed that since October 2025, digital systems have been used to disburse salaries to 280,650 government employees and pensions to 130,132 pensioners. Efforts are also underway to extend the cashless system to the autonomous bodies and authorities of the provincial government, a process set to be completed by December 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
