He received his PhD degree from the University of Manchester and is an experienced banker.<br \/>\nDr Sidhu has done his doctorate on stock exchanges regulations and investors. He also served in insurance companies, law firms and financial institutions during his stay in the UK.<br \/>\nDr Sidhu also served as senior legal consultant in the Federal Law Ministry and Privatisation Commission. During his stay at CCP, there was a 70 percent drop in the legal backlog. Within two years, courts and tribunals had decided 434 out of 567 cases.<br \/>\nHe was also responsible for recovering Rs1.36 billion in fines. He had also slapped over Rs1 billion new fine on cartels and misleading marketing.
