A three-member bench, comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi, heard the case. The apex court directed the NBP president to decide the applications filed in 2019 and 2022 in light of the policy enforced at that time within three months and inform it. The SC noted that the applications filed by the deceased employees\u2019 children kept pending for years, and yet no response was given. \u201cNot implementing the policy on giving employment to these children also constitutes a violation of the principles of justice.\u201dThe court also made it clear that its decisions took effect from future unless it itself mentioned in its verdicts that these would have a retrospective effect.
