\nPostmaster General Punjab Province Iram Tariq Sunday expressed the confidence that government post offices still remain effective, offering organized services at cheaper rates than private companies with a fully devitalized system and urged users to continue relying on them for their trust and reliability.
\nIn an exclusive interview with PTV News, PG Punjab highlighted that in today\u2019s digital age, where not just Pakistan but the entire world faces emergencies like COVID-19, dependable postal services are more critical than ever to maintain seamless communication and delivery.
\nHe emphasized that Pakistan Post, serving from Islamabad to Punjab and even the remotest villages across the country, remained highly organized, efficiently managed and cost-effective, adding, the system had been upgraded to modern standards, ensuring speed, reliability and accessibility for all citizens.
\nThe PG Punjab stressed that government post offices continue to provide superior services at cheaper rates compared to private alternatives, combining affordability with a fully devitalized, streamlined system that sustains public trust and confidence.
\nShe noted that while traditional letters may have declined, the need to send important documents such as passports, degrees, pension papers, interview letters, university assignments and diplomas as well as parcels of all sizes, both domestically and internationally, remained significant. Pakistan Post continues to play a vital role, providing efficient, well-organized and cost-effective delivery services with unmatched reliability and professional management, she added.
\nResponding to a query about digitalization, she said Pakistan Post will soon launch its official app, with all operations being upgraded and fully devitalized through strategic partnerships and agreements with the IT sector.
\nTo another query, she further elaborated that under Pakistan Post\u2019s digitalization vision, all operations were being upgraded to a modern, fully digitized system to improve efficiency, trace and tracking system and customer convenience.
\nThis includes online parcel booking, digital payment integration, real-time tracking of letters and parcels and automated sorting processes, she added.
\nShe told that the upcoming Pakistan Post app would allow users to access services from their smartphones, submit requests, track deliveries and manage accounts without visiting post offices. Speaking about another initiative, she said that issuing stamps for special events was a major achievement for Pakistan Post and added that these commemorative stamps would soon be available at Pakistan\u2019s diplomatic missions abroad.
