\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government Mian Khan Afridi on Tuesday launched a digital complaints redressal application \u2018Mansooba e Amal\u2019 aimed at improving transparency and efficiency in municipal service delivery across the province.
\nThe initiative was formally inaugurated during a ceremony held at the Local Governance School, Hayatabad, which was attended by officials of Tehsil Municipal Administrations from across the province. Secretary Local Government Zafar-ul-Islam and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
\nAddressing the gathering, Mr Afridi said the newly launched \u201cMansooba-e-Amal\u201d application would enable citizens to lodge complaints and submit feedback regarding municipal services, including sanitation, service delivery and response delays. He explained that complaints submitted through the app would initially be routed to the relevant officers at the lowest administrative tier to ensure timely resolution at the grassroots level.
\nHe added that unresolved complaints would automatically be escalated to higher authorities, ensuring accountability and oversight within the system. \u201cThe use of modern technology is essential to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances and to improve governance outcomes,\u201d the minister said.
\nMr Afridi stated that the government was committed to providing faster, transparent and citizen-friendly municipal services.
\nHe further said that the application had been installed on his own mobile phone and that he would personally monitor the performance of the complaint redressal mechanism.
\nDuring the event, officials briefed the minister on the operational framework, monitoring tools and escalation procedures of the application.
