{"id":526713,"date":"2026-01-21T01:12:43","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T20:12:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=526713"},"modified":"2026-01-21T01:12:43","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T20:12:43","slug":"cng-stations-closed-to-facilitate-domestic-consumers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/cng-stations-closed-to-facilitate-domestic-consumers\/","title":{"rendered":"CNG stations closed to facilitate domestic consumers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gas Crisis<br \/>\nDLP Report<br \/>\nMALAKAND<br \/>\nWith the onset of winter intensifying the gas crisis, the Malakand district administration has imposed an immediate ban on all CNG filling stations across the district to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to domestic consumers and prevent any potential law and order situation.<br \/>\nDeputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Malakand, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan Sherpao, has enforced a complete closure of all CNG stations under Section 144, effective until January 31, 2026, a handout said.<br \/>\nAccording to the official order, the continued supply of gas to the CNG sector amid shortages could deprive domestic consumers, leading to public anger, protests, and a serious deterioration of law and order.<br \/>\nTo provide relief to households, gas supply to the CNG sector has been entirely suspended. The district administration has issued a stern warning that strict legal action will be taken against any station owner found violating the ban. Cases will be registered under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code, and arrests will be made without exception.<br \/>\nThe Malakand Levies have been placed on high alert and instructed to carry out a district-wide crackdown to ensure compliance.
