\nPESHAWAR
\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering, Fazal Shakoor Khan, has issued directives to the concerned Executive Engineers (XENs) to significantly expedite work on all ongoing developmental schemes of the department in district Mansehra and South Waziristan and ensure their completion within the stipulated time frame.
\nHe further instructed that comprehensive groundwork on the PC-I of proposed development schemes be completed at the earliest and submitted to the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) for approval, so that public facilities can be provided in a timely manner.
\nThe Provincial Minister issued these directives while chairing an important meeting on Wednesday at his office regarding various ongoing and proposed PHE schemes in district Mansehra and South Waziristan.
\nThe meeting was attended by XEN Mansehra, Sardar Khalid Gandapur, and XEN South Waziristan, Mian Gul.
\nBoth the XENs gave detailed briefings on the ongoing and proposed schemes in their respective districts and informed the Provincial Minister about the progress made so far, challenges being faced, and the future course of action.
\nReviewing the briefings, the Provincial Minister made it clear that unnecessary delays in development projects will not be tolerated and that the timely completion of public welfare schemes remains a top priority of the incumbent KP government.
\nHe said that the provision of clean drinking water and sanitation is a basic right of the people, and the current provincial government is utilizing all available resources to ensure provision of these facilities. He directed the concerned officers to strengthen field monitoring, ensure that no compromise is made on quality, and complete all projects with transparency.
\nHe assured that the government will extend full cooperation in the approval of new projects and provision of funds in line with the needs of the districts, so that the supply of safe drinking water can be ensured for the people across the province, including remote and underdeveloped areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
