Security sources say all attacks repelled via timely and effective action

\nSecurity forces have killed at least 67 terrorists as more operations are underway after coordinated attacks at multiple locations in Balochistan were foiled, state media reported on Saturday.
\nEarlier in the day, security sources had said \u201cFitna-al-Hindustan carried out attacks at 12 locations across Balochistan\u201d, adding that all attacks were foiled due to timely and effective action.
\nCiting security sources, state-run PTV News said on X that the confirmed number of terrorists killed in operations ongoing since the morning against Fitna al Hindustan has reached 67.
\nNoting that security forces had killed 41 terrorists in Panjgur and Harnai district\u2019s Shaban area \u201cin the past two days\u201d, the sources said a total of 108 terrorists have been eliminated across the province.
\nThe security sources further said that 10 police and security personnel embraced martyrdom while \u201cfighting against this brutality\u201d.
\nThe state has designated Balochistan-based terrorist groups as Fitna-al-Hindustan to highlight India\u2019s alleged role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.
\nMeanwhile, \u201cterrorists of the brutal Indian proxy\u201d also killed 11 citizens in Gwadar, PTV quoted the security sources as saying.
\nThey stated that the deceased included five men, three women and three children. PTV, citing security sources, said all terrorists involved in the incident were killed.
\n\u201cFurther operations against potential hideouts of terrorist elements in surrounding areas are underway,\u201d the report added.
\nAccording to a Dawn correspondent, while mobile phone services were working, data services were suspended in Quetta, Sibi and Chaman regions in the wake of the attacks.
\nIn a post on X earlier on Saturday, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti highlighted that security forces had killed 70 terrorists at various locations across the province during just the past two days.
\n\u201cIn the morning, in an attempt to shore up their declining morale, Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists attempted to carry out attacks at multiple locations, which the courageous police of Balochistan and brave personnel of the FC (Frontier Corps) are jointly thwarting and have killed 37 more terrorists so far.\u201d
\n\u201cThese attacks cannot undermine our resolve against terrorism; we will continue to pursue them until the last terrorist,\u201d CM Bugti added.
\n\u2018Desperate move\u2019
\nInformation Minister Attaullah Tarar described the attack as \u201ca desperate move\u201d by the terrorists while security forces were about to neutralise them.
\n\u201cThis was a desperate move by the terrorists. Our security forces are close to defeating the fighters of Fitna-al-Hindustan and Fitna-al-Khawarij,\u201d he said in an interview with Geo News.
\nHe said the security forces were alert at all locations and were not taken by surprise.
\n\u201cOur security forces, personnel and officers have fought bravely. They were alert at all sites and fully prepared,\u201d he said.
\nSharing casualty figures, he said 10 police and security personnel embraced martyrdom.
\nExpressing deep sorrow, he said that terrorists of the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had killed family members of Baloch labourers hailing from Khuzdar and Gwadar.
\n\u201cThis is a success as without any major loss, 58 terrorists were sent to hell,\u201d he added.
\nBriefing on the security operation, the information minister said, \u201cSecurity forces are monitoring the situation, while aerial surveillance is also ongoing.\u201d
\nHe reiterated that the attack was thwarted with full force.
\nTarar further said that the prime minister was aware of the situation and was in contact. \u201cThe prime minister condemned the attack and reaffirmed that we will not rest until the last terrorist is eliminated from the country,\u201d he said.
\n\u201cIt is the resolve of the state of Pakistan that it will not rest until terrorism is eliminated from the country,\u201d he added.
