He said Karachi\u2019s residents were \u201cburning in fires\u201d.<br \/>\nWhile rejecting demands to place Karachi under federal control, the JI leader said handing the city to the Centre was \u201cnot a solution\u201d. Instead, he demanded an empowered urban local government system to address civic issues.<br \/>\nRehman accused the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) of holding Sindh \u201chostage\u201d and blamed the provincial government for the destruction of Karachi\u2019s infrastructure, including the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR).
