\nJunior Jinnah Trust (JJT) hosted a grand charity event, \u201cEvening of Hope,\u201d at a local hotel yesterday, bringing together prominent social leaders, philanthropists, and dignitaries from diverse sectors.
\nDuring the event, generous donors pledged educational sponsorships for over 1,600 underprivileged children, highlighting widespread support for JJT\u2019s mission to promote education in Pakistan.
\nAddressing the gathering, JJT Executive Director Muhammad Al-Khyam stated that education remains one of the country\u2019s most pressing challenges. He noted that over 26 million children across Pakistan are out of school, and even in Islamabad alone, more than 90,000 children lack access to education, a deeply concerning scenario.
\nAl-Khyam expressed regret that while many organizations focus on temporary relief initiatives, very few work on sustainable education projects. He emphasized that Junior Jinnah Trust is among the few dedicated organizations striving wholeheartedly to improve education, and the recent sponsorship pledges are a testament to public trust in their mission. He thanked all participants and philanthropists and hoped that more sectors of society would step forward to support education.
\nUsman Shaukat, President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, lauded JJT\u2019s efforts, saying, \u201cWe fully support the Trust\u2019s mission to advance education and will continue to collaborate in this vital field.\u201d
\nOther speakers included Fahad Syed Imtiaz Rizvi, CEO 25 Foundation, Abid Iqbal Khari, Shehzad Saleem Abbasi, Abdul Salam, and several others. Attendees also featured senior figures from various organizations, including Khalid Farooq Qazi, Fahad Berlaz, CEOs from Energy IT and Two Pie Foundation, JJT\u2019s Head of Business Development Shehzad Saleem Abbasi, and members of JJT\u2019s team, among others.
\nThe event highlighted the growing partnership between social and corporate sectors in Pakistan to address the nation\u2019s education crisis and support underprivileged children.
