PUTA leaders have said the protest was launched against the vice chancellor\u2019s continued failure to convene a meeting of the selection board. They maintained that the boycott would continue until the meeting was called.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the university\u2019s Joint Action Committee, comprising representatives of Class IV employees, sanitation staff, and administrative officers, met with the PUTA leadership to express solidarity and discuss the possibility of joining the protest. However, PUTA had asked the committee to wait for the time being.
