\nThe exports of ready-made garments from the country during first seven months of current financial year increased by 5.66 percent as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year.
\nDuring the period from July-January, 2025-26, 51,140 thousand dozen of ready-made garments valued at $2.579 billion were exported as compared to the exports of 47,353 thousand dozen worth of $2.44 billion of the same period of the last year, according to the latest data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
\nThe exports of textile products witnessed an increase of 1.25 percent during the first seven months of the fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to the same months of last year (2024-25).<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the exports of the knitwear during the period under review grew by 2.14 percent as the country earned $3.098 billion by exporting about 151,956 thousand dozen of knitwear as compared to the exports of 150,932 thousand dozen of knitwear valued at $3.033 billion of the same period of the last year.<\/p>\n
The overall textile exports from the country were recorded at $10.904 billion during July-January 2025-26 against the exports of $10.770 billion during July-January 2024-25,
\nThe other textile commodities which, contributed to trade growth included the export of raw cotton also increased by 323.05 percent to $2.606 million compared to $0.616 million last year, whereas bed wear, the export of which surged by 2.71 percent to $1,919.469 million from $1,868.894 million, tents, canvas, tarpaulin by 2.20 percent to $85.375 million from $83.539 million and ready-made garments by 5.66 percent to $2,579.392 million from $2,441.156 million.
\nThe export of made-up articles (excluding towels and bedwear) increased by 1.87 percent to $468.936 million from $460.324 million, and all other textile materials up by 5.68 percent to $457.523 million from $432.925 million.
\nMeanwhile, on a Year-on-Year (YoY) basis, the textile exports from the country witnessed an increase of 3.14 percent during January 2026 as compared to the corresponding month of last year.
\nThe textile exports in January 2026 were recorded at $1,738.803 million against the exports of $1,685.905 million in January 2025.
\nOn a Month-on-Month (MoM) basis, the textile exports also increased by 28.72 percent in January 2026 when compared to the exports of $ 1,350.860 million in December 2025, according to PBS data.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
