\nTwelve persons were apprehended and four shops were sealed in an anti-encroachment drive carried out in Landi Kotal Bazaar on Monday.
\nOn the directive of Deputy Commissioner, Khyber, the local administration team with assistance of police and headed by Additional Assistant Commissioner, Shahabuddin, Tehsildar Temour Afridi and others initiated the anti-encroachment campaign.
\nThe anti-encroachment drive was carried out in butchers\u2019 street, food street, ranger street, cloth street etc.
\nThe officials removed all encroachments to ease pedestrians\u2019 movement in the holy month of Ramadan.
\nFour shops were sealed and 12 persons were put behind the bars for violating the law in addition with a number of encroached material were also confiscated.
\nAll the shopkeepers and makeshift holders were warned of occupying walkers\u2019 way in the streets.
\nAssistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal Inamullah Khan Wazir appealed to the local traders to avoid encroaching on main roads and streets and follow the civic discipline.
