{"id":534443,"date":"2026-03-03T04:26:51","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T23:26:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=534443"},"modified":"2026-03-03T04:26:51","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T23:26:51","slug":"19-bottle-water-brands-unsafe-for-human-consumption","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/19-bottle-water-brands-unsafe-for-human-consumption\/","title":{"rendered":"19 bottle water brands unsafe for human consumption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> islamabad<br \/>\nThe Government of Pakistan has directed PCRWR for quarterly monitoring of bottled\/mineral water brands and publicize the results for awareness of public health.<br \/>\nFor the 4th quarter of year 2025 (October to December), 206 samples of mineral\/bottled water brands were collected from 21 major cities.<br \/>\nComparison of test results with the bottled water quality standards of Pakistan Standards &#038;  Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) has revealed that 19 brands were unsafe for human consumption due to microbiological or chemical contamination.<br \/>\nSix brands (Pure Drinking Water, Pure Prime, Natural Pure Life, Nero Bottled Drinking Water, Daily Water Bottled Drinking Water, Premium Safa Purified Water) were found to be unsafe due to presence of higher levels of sodium, two brands (Premium Safa Purified Water, Ruha Water) were found to be unsafe due to presence of higher levels of arsenic, one brand (Nero Bottled Drinking Water) was found unsafe due to presence of high level of TDS than the permissible limit, while, one brand (Nero Bottled Drinking Water) was found unsafe due to presence of high level of Sulphate than the permissible limit. Fourteen brands (F&#038;P Bottled Drinking Water, Pak Aqua Bottled Drinking Water, Pure Prime, Natural Pure Life, Aqua Treat Bottled Drinking Water, Al Saha Drinking Water, Dubai Water bottled Drinking Water, Pearl, Marvi, Buxton Pure, Dream Pure, Mountain Pure Drinking Water, Asia Healthy Drinking Water, Ultra Pak) were found contaminated with bacteria and thus were unsafe for drinking purpose.
