\nA high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shahab Ali Shah to review ongoing public relief measures during Ramadan, progress on development projects, the tree plantation campaign, implementation of the land use policy, and digitization of government services.
\nOfficials briefed the meeting that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is continuously implementing public relief measures during Ramadan, monitored in real-time through a special dashboard by the Performance Management and Reforms Unit of the Chief Secretary\u2019s Office.
\nThe dashboard enables on-the-spot decision-making, helping district administrations and concerned departments take immediate action.
\nSince the first day of Ramadan, over 100,000 business and essential goods outlets across the province have been inspected, with violations detected at 29,000 locations.
\nFines were imposed and FIRs registered in several cases. The Chief Secretary directed that no negligence would be tolerated in ensuring food availability and price control during the holy month.
\nThe meeting also reviewed the government\u2019s ongoing tree plantation campaign, with clear instructions issued to district administrations to achieve targets and ensure transparent implementation.
\nRegarding development projects, officials said funding is being prioritised for key projects, with special attention on those nearing completion to deliver public benefits promptly.
\nThe Peshawar uplift initiatives, divided into priority segments, include construction of underpasses on Ring Road, renovation of 34 parks, rehabilitation and upgradation of 35 major roads, improvement of road furniture on Ring Road and GT Road, and other urban development measures. The Chief Secretary emphasised that quality and transparency must be maintained in all projects.
\nUpdates on land use and building control were also presented. The Land Use and Building Control Authority is approving plans in line with urban master plans, ensuring proper urban planning, traffic management, and environmental compliance.
\nOn digitization, officials informed that 170 government services will be fully digitized by June under the Cashless Action Plan, aiming to enhance transparency, convenience, and good governance.
\nAddressing the meeting, Shahab Ali Shah said providing relief to the public during Ramadan remains the provincial government\u2019s top priority. He directed all relevant departments to work in a coordinated manner and ensure timely completion of development projects, urban facilities, tree plantation targets, and digitization initiatives so that citizens benefit from improved governance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
