Special emphasis will also be placed on antimicrobial stewardship programs to ensure the responsible use of antibiotics and to combat antimicrobial resistance.<br \/>\nProvincial Minister for Health Khaliq ur Rehman has welcomed the introduction of the Pharmacy Services Policy by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, describing it as an important step towards strengthening healthcare delivery and ensuring safe and effective use of medicines across the province.<br \/>\nThe minister stated that integration of pharmacy services in healthcare facilities will significantly improve patient safety and enhance the overall quality of medical treatment.<br \/>\nHe said the policy aims to ensure the rational use of medicines, promote evidence-based drug therapy, and strengthen the role of pharmacists within the healthcare system.<br \/>\nKhaliq ur Rehman further said that the policy will also help improve the medicine supply chain system, including proper storage, handling, and availability of essential medicines in healthcare facilities across the province.<br \/>\nThe Health Minister added that the implementation of the Pharmacy Services Policy will help improve therapeutic outcomes, reduce unnecessary hospital stays, and enhance the overall efficiency of healthcare services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR The Health Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has introduced Pharmacy Services Policy at healthcare facilities to improve patient safety and enhance overall quality of medical treatment.
