\nCitizens welcomed the decision of the Punjab government to establish Anti-Drone Units in every district,stating that the move will significantly improve public security and similarly protect citizens\u2019 privacy.
\nAccording to the government \u2018s plan,the Anti-Drone Units will operate under the supervision of the District Police Officer (DPO) and will monitor unauthorized drone activity in their respective districts.
\nTalking to media,different citizens appreciated the initiative and expressed hope that the new system would help control the misuse of drones.
\nAmjad Suleman said that the growing trend of flying drones without any regulation had been causing serious concerns among residents.
\n\u201cMany people were flying drones without seeking permission,which not only created security risks but also compromised the privacy of families.The establishment of Anti-Drone Units will help regulate this activity and discourage irresponsible behavior,\u201dhe said.
\nSimilarly,Asim,another citizen said that the government\u2019s decision was timely and necessary in view of modern security challenges.
\n\u201cWith proper surveillance and monitoring by trained officials,the misuse of drones will be controlled and people will feel more secure in their homes and neighborhoods,\u201dhe added.
\nAnother citizen,Riaz Lodhi also praised the initiative and observed, technological advancements require equally strong regulatory mechanisms.
\n\u201cDrones can be useful tools,but when used irresponsibly they can create fear and violate people\u2019s privacy.The new Anti-Drone Units will ensure that such elements are discouraged,\u201dhe said.
\nMalik Arif also termed the decision a positive step for maintaining law and order.He said that strict monitoring of drone activities would help authorities prevent potential security threats and ensure that the technology was used only for legitimate purposes.
