\nCommissioner Hazara Division Fayyaz Ali Shah on Tuesday chaired an e-open court at the Commissioner\u2019s Office to review public complaints and ensure their prompt resolution.
\nDeputy commissioners from across the division participated in the session online, while Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram and heads of various line departments attended in person.
\nDuring the e-open court, the commissioner reviewed complaints, suggestions and feedback received from the public against different departments and also listened to live calls.
\nMr Shah responded to several complaints on the spot and issued necessary instructions to the relevant authorities for immediate action.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, he said the main objective of organising the e-open court was to gain direct insight into public issues and ensure their swift resolution. He directed all deputy commissioners and departmental heads to address complaints on a priority basis.
\nHe added that the doors of the Commissioner\u2019s Office were always open to the public and citizens could present their issues without hesitation.
\nMost complaints received during the session pertained to food prices, cleanliness, encroachments, rent enforcement and traffic-related issues.
\nHighlighting the administration\u2019s responsibility to facilitate tourists, the commissioner warned that legal action would be taken against violations of traffic rules. He also directed strict monitoring of transport fares on the occasion of Eidul Fitr, cautioning that action would be taken against transporters charging excessive fares.
\nMr Shah further instructed that all complaints received during the e-open court be forwarded to the concerned departments and that complainants be kept informed about the progress made on their cases.
\nHe also directed deputy commissioners to ensure that action on public complaints was taken strictly in accordance with the law to safeguard citizens\u2019 fundamental rights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
