\nAwami National Party (ANP) provincial president Mian Iftikhar Hussain has expressed serious concern over the alleged sale of solved papers during the annual matriculation examinations conducted by the Peshawar Board, terming it a major failure of the education department and the provincial government.
\nIn a statement issued here, ANP senior leader said the buying and selling of solved papers not only damages the credibility of the education system but also jeopardizes the future of students.
\n\u201cThe availability of solved papers this year, openly sold near the Board of Intermediate office, marks a serious escalation compared to past years when only paper leaks were reported,\u201d he added.
\nMian Iftikhar Hussain warned that such practices deprive talented and hardworking students of their rights and undermine the merit system. He criticised the provincial government for failing across key sectors, including law and order, education, health and the economy, and said the education department has been brought \u201cto the brink of destruction.\u201d
\nHe urged immediate and transparent investigation into the matter, strict legal action against those involved, and the introduction of urgent reforms to ensure a fair and merit-based examination system.
