SIALKOT
\nDefense Minister Khawaja Asif has called for peace and unity in the region while commenting on rising global and regional tensions, including the ongoing US-Iran conflict and relations with India.
\nIn a media interaction in Sialkot, he emphasized Pakistan\u2019s diplomatic efforts while also issuing strong remarks regarding India\u2019s alleged intentions. Asif said discussions around the US-Iran war are ongoing and it would not be appropriate to comment in detail at this stage. However, he stressed that Pakistan is playing an important role in the process, expressing hope that the country\u2019s efforts would succeed.
\n\u201cI pray that Allah grants us success in these efforts and that peace is established in our region,\u201d he said, adding that all differences should be resolved through dialogue.
\nThe defense minister underscored the need for unity among Muslim countries during this critical time. \u201cWe are followers of one Prophet. May Allah save us from differences,\u201d he said, emphasizing that Pakistan is actively working for unity within the Muslim Ummah.
\nHe also expressed hope that Pakistan would emerge as a leader in promoting peace and reconciliation.
\nTurning to regional tensions, Asif accused India of planning false flag operations. He alleged that India could attempt to stage incidents by \u201cthrowing the bodies of its own people or Pakistanis in Indian custody\u201d to create a narrative of terrorism.
\nHe further claimed that India\u2019s actions and alleged atrocities this year have drawn global criticism, stating that \u201cthe whole world and even its own people are questioning it.\u201d
\nAsif acknowledged that India is a much larger country in terms of economy and military, saying it is \u201cfive times bigger than Pakistan.\u201d However, he added that history would judge recent developments, suggesting that India had faced humiliation globally in the past year.
\nIn a strongly worded statement, the defense minister warned that Pakistan would respond decisively to any Indian action.
\nHe claimed that Pakistan\u2019s Air Force has previously \u201cpenetrated into India and destroyed targets,\u201d and warned that any future move by India could be met with a response reaching as far as Kolkata.
\n\u201cIf India makes any move this time, we will go all the way to Kolkata,\u201d he said. Despite the strong rhetoric, Khawaja Asif repeatedly emphasized his desire for peace.
