\nArab governments on Wednesday urged renewed diplomacy following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, with reactions ranging from cautious optimism to assertions of strategic gains. United Arab Emirates presidential adviser Anwar Gargash said the Emirates had emerged stronger from the conflict, despite seeking to avoid it.
\n\u201cThe UAE emerged victorious from a war we sincerely sought to avoid,\u201d Gargash wrote on X, adding that the country was now better equipped to navigate a complex regional landscape and shape future outcomes.
\nIn Oman, officials emphasised mediation and long-term stability, with the foreign minister pledging support for efforts toward \u201cstrong and enduring regional security\u201d and urging serious negotiations between Washington and Tehran to achieve lasting peace.
