\nFormer Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal became the youngest head of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) , after the National \u200cSports Council dissolved the BCB\u2019s board of directors following an investigation into elections held in October.
\nA committee found irregularities in the BCB\u2019s election process, the NSC\u2019s sports director Mohammed Aminul Ahesan told reporters in Dhaka.
\nTamim, 37, is the youngest BCB president and will lead an 11-member ad hoc committee that includes former Bangladesh captain Minhajul Abedin and former cricketer and TV commentator Athar Ali Khan. The other members of the committee are Rashna Imam, Mirza Yeasir Abbas, Syed Ibrahim Ahmed, Israfil Khasru, Tanjil Chowdhury, Salman Ispahani, Rafiqul Islam and Fahim Sinha.
\n\u201cWe have informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) that this board of directors was not formed in a proper manner, and is not able to complete its work in a proper manner,\u201d Ahesan said.
\n\u201cWe think that the ICC will definitely uphold this \u200cdecision.\u201d
\nThe previous board of directors was led by Aminul Islam, who was behind Bangladesh\u2019s refusal to visit India for this year\u2019s Twenty20 World Cup, citing safety concerns.
\nBangladesh were replaced by Scotland in the tournament.
