\nProvincial Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Atta ur Rehman on Thursday said the upcoming \u201cDastoor-e-Islam Conference\u201d in Mardan would mark a significant step toward the implementation of an Islamic system and the safeguarding of Islamic clauses in the Constitution.
\nAddressing a preparatory gathering in Takht Bhai, Maulana Atta ur Rehman said that certain elements were attempting to dilute Islamic provisions in the Constitution under the guise of amendments. He asserted that the leadership of JUI-F had foiled such efforts in the past and would continue to resist them.
\nThe meeting was also attended and addressed by several party leaders, including District Mardan Ameer Maulana Amanat Shah Haqqani, former MNA Maulana Muhammad Qasim, Maulana Muhammad Idrees, District Information Secretary Maulana Qaiseruddin and others.
\nMaulana Atta ur Rehman criticized proposed legislation related to underage marriage, terming it contrary to Shariah, and vowed that the party would strongly oppose such bills while raising public awareness on the issue.
\nCommenting on international affairs, he accused the United States and Israel of conspiring against Muslim countries, alleging that their objective was to exploit resources and weaken the Muslim world. He urged Pakistan to adopt an effective diplomatic strategy in coordination with other Islamic countries.
\nHe added that JUI-F, under the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, was actively working to counter what he described as anti-state forces and their facilitators within the country.
