18,000 grams of hashish were recovered in Khyber

\nExcise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa carried out two major operations in Abbottabad and Khyber, recovering a total of 21 kilograms and 669 grams of hashish, while also arresting one accused. Separate cases have been registered in both incidents.
\nAccording to official sources on Saturday, these operations were conducted in line with the provincial government\u2019s strict anti-narcotics policy and on the directives of Excise Minister Syed Fakhar Jehan. The department has further intensified its crackdown against drug traffickers and smugglers across the province to protect the younger generation from the menace of drugs.
\nIn Abbottabad, under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Counter Narcotics Operations Maqbool Khan and Circle Officer Irshadullah Afridi, SHO Excise Police Abbottabad Faisal Khan, along with his team, acted on a tip-off near Havelian Interchange. During the search of a passenger vehicle, 3,669 grams of hashish were recovered from a suspected smuggler.
\nThe accused, identified as Majid Afridi son of Javed Khan, resident of Bara, Khyber district, was arrested on the spot. A case has been registered at Excise Police Station Abbottabad, and further investigation is underway.
\nIn a separate operation in Khyber, the Excise Police Station Khyber and the Excise Intelligence Squad foiled another major attempt to smuggle narcotics. Acting under the supervision of ETO Counter Narcotics Operations Majid Khan, SHO Excise Police Station Khyber Majid Hussain, along with ASI Amin Jan, Zulfiqar and other personnel, conducted a raid near Malik Taj Petrol Pump on credible intelligence. During the search of vehicle number VH-597, 18,000 grams of hashish were recovered.
