\nAdvisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Finance Muzzammil Aslam has said the province was likely to face a financial shortfall of Rs120 billion due to an expected decline in federal revenues and cuts in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
\nIn a statement issued from his office on Wednesday, he said federal tax revenues were projected to fall short by Rs800 to Rs1,000 billion in the current fiscal year, while the PSDP has been reduced by Rs180 billion.
\nHe said these developments would directly impact provincial receipts, adding that KP\u2019s financial gap has widened significantly under the current fiscal scenario.
\nMuzzammil Aslam further stated that the province has already spent over Rs10 billion on flood relief, Rs15 billion on the rehabilitation of internally displaced persons (IDPs), and around Rs10 billion on fuel subsidies for motorcyclists, farmers, and public transport.
