ISLAMABAD: Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has said sixteen Pakistani companies have got permission for export of seafood to the Russian market for the first time. In a statement, he called it a major breakthrough in Pakistan\u2019s fisheries sector and a significant step forward for the country\u2019s seafood industry. The Minister said access to Russian market is expected to open doors to other member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, further expanding Pakistan\u2019s export potential. Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said Pakistan\u2019s annual seafood exports will increase to 800 million dollars from five hundred million dollars following entry into the Russian market.
