Federal Minister for Culture and National Heritage, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi on Tuesday called Allama Muhammad Iqbal\u2019s philosophy a lasting source of guidance for Pakistan, as the nation marked the 88th death anniversary of the poet-philosopher.
\nIn his message, the Minister said Iqbal\u2019s thought of selfhood, moral strength, intellectual freedom, and continuous striving offers a foundation for reforming the country\u2019s education system, empowering youth, and promoting cultural heritage.
\nThe Minister said Iqbal viewed education not merely as a means of livelihood but as a process of intellectual, moral, and spiritual development, adding that Pakistan must build an education system that nurtures character, responsibility, creativity, and national purpose.
\nHe emphasised that Iqbal regarded youth as the driving force of national progress and called for creating better opportunities for their training, skill development, and participation in nation-building.
\nThe Minister also stressed the need to preserve and promote Pakistan\u2019s cultural heritage in the light of Iqbal\u2019s thought, so that society remains rooted in its values while advancing toward progress.
