\nPESHAWAR
\nA high-level meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan on Tuesday reviewed measures for identifying out-of-school children, improving data mapping and strengthening interdepartmental coordination.
\nThe meeting was attended by Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Khalid, senior officials of the Education Department, representatives of UNICEF, and officials from the local government, social welfare and health departments.
\nParticipants agreed to implement a coordinated action plan through close collaboration among relevant departments to identify out-of-school children, verify data, assess ground realities and design joint interventions to address underlying challenges.
\nDetailed discussions were held on developing a province-wide strategy, including geographic and digital mapping, analysis of socio-economic indicators and identification of key factors contributing to school non-enrolment. Officials were also briefed on plans for an integrated data management system, survey methodologies and mechanisms for interdepartmental data sharing.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, Mr Khan said enrolling out-of-school children remained a top priority of the provincial government, stressing the need to ensure equitable access to education for every child. He directed all departments to work in close coordination under a unified, results-oriented framework.
\nSecretary Muhammad Khalid said modern technological tools, including digital mapping and integrated data systems, would be utilised in collaboration with stakeholders to generate accurate data, enabling evidence-based policymaking and improved service delivery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
