PESHAWAR: The district administration said on Wednesday an anti-encroachments drive had been launched in different parts of the provincial capital.
\nAt a meeting Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Khan Mahsud resented reoccupation of the public property the administration had retrieved last year during the campaign against encroachments.
\nAdditional Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood, Assistant Commissioner Altaf Sheikh, all the additional assistant commissioners, SDO of Irrigation Department Saifullah Khan, and other officials attended the meeting. They gave proposals for success of the anti-encroachment campaign.
\nThe district administration had conducted a massive campaign against encroachments two years ago. Hundreds of illegal shops, cabins, buildings, gas stations, markets were razed to the ground.
