\nA month-long \u201cYouth Soft Activity Program,\u201d funded by the Government of Japan with support of local government concluded successfully at the tehsil compound, Landi Kotal on Wednesday.
\nUnder the initiative, 65 local youths(male and female) comprising 20 trainees received instruction in medical billing, another 20 were trained in solar technology, while 25 women completed vocational training in tailoring.
\nIn this connection a gathering was organized at Deputy Commissioner, residency lawn,Landi Kotal that was attended by former Tehsil Chairman Shah Khalid Shinwari, Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Landi Kotal Shehbaz, former councilors, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) representative Naseer Afridi and Malik Masal Khan Shinwari, along with other notable figures.
\nSpeakers on the occasion expressed their amusement at the initiation of the skills training activities and said it would certainly motivate other youths to decorate themselves with the skills. While highlighting the importance of such initiatives they added it was the best method to empower youth and enable them to secure dignified employment. They stressed the need for continuity of similar programs in the future to further strengthen economic opportunities for young people in the region.
\nAccording to the organizers of the program, the project was implemented at a cost of approximately Rs4.5 million, aiming to equip youth with practical skills for sustainable livelihoods.
\nAt the end the trainees were awarded certificates along with laptops, solar kits, and sewing machines to help them apply their newly acquired skills in real-world settings and move towards self-reliance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
