\nSecretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Iqbal Khan has said that the continuous increase in petroleum prices has triggered a \u201ctsunami of inflation\u201d across the country, making it increasingly difficult for poor and middle-class families to meet even their basic daily needs. He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a membership camp organized under Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan\u2019s nationwide \u201cBadl Do Nizam\u201d campaign in Jhadi Kas, Attock. On the occasion, Sardar Amjad Ali Khan and other local leaders also addressed the gathering.
\nIqbal Khan criticized the government for imposing heavy levies on petroleum products under the pretext of global market conditions, stating that these taxes have little connection with the actual international price of fuel.
\nHe said that collecting excessive levies from poor and middle-class citizens amounts to economic injustice, while students, laborers, motorcyclists, and daily wage earners are bearing the brunt of the government\u2019s taxation policies.
\nHe urged the public to become part of the \u201cBadl Do Nizam\u201d movement and join Jamaat-e-Islami to help replace what he described as the current oppressive and outdated system.
\nIqbal Khan further stated that despite rising inflation and economic hardships faced by ordinary citizens, the ruling elite continues to enjoy lavish privileges, expensive official protocols, and aircraft worth billions of rupees. \u201cThis dual system cannot survive for long,\u201d he remarked. He said Pakistan is currently facing severe crises in education, employment, justice, and the economy, while corruption, inflation, and exploitation have made life extremely difficult for the common man.
\nHe called on the people to rise above personal interests and traditional family politics and support honest and competent leadership. According to Iqbal Khan, the \u201cBadl Do Nizam\u201d movement aims to steer the country out of corruption, injustice, and economic instability through transparent governance and principled leadership.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
