\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has directed all relevant departments and district administrations to ensure comprehensive arrangements for security, cleanliness, traffic management, tourist facilitation and emergency response during Eidul Azha 2026.
\nAccording to directives issued from the office of the chief secretary, commissioners, deputy commissioners, police, Rescue 1122, local government bodies, health, livestock and tourism departments have been instructed to remain fully prepared before and during the Eid holidays.
\nAuthorities have been asked to make strict security and crowd management arrangements at Eidgahs, mosques, Imambargahs, markets and cattle markets across the province.
\nThe government directed that only officially approved cattle markets would be allowed to operate, while action would be taken against illegal markets established on roads, bridges and in residential areas. Facilities including parking, drinking water, shade and complaint redressal services would be ensured at major cattle markets.
\nThe livestock department has been tasked with inspection, vaccination and disease prevention measures for sacrificial animals, while awareness campaigns regarding identification of sick animals will also be launched.
\nStrict monitoring of transport fares and action against profiteering, hoarding and underweight selling have also been ordered. Hotels, bakeries and food outlets will also be inspected.
\nLocal government institutions and Water and Sanitation Services Companies have been directed to launch special cleanliness campaigns for timely collection and disposal of sacrificial animal waste, while dumping waste in canals and public places will remain prohibited.
\nPolice have been instructed to remain on high alert at markets, tourist destinations and public gatherings, while strict action will be taken against one-wheeling, aerial firing, over-speeding and riding motorcycles without helmets.
\nIn tourist districts, authorities have been directed to ensure implementation of traffic plans and provision of fuel, food and drinking water, besides establishing help desks at key tourist locations.
\nThe health department has been ordered to keep emergency services, ambulances, trauma facilities, pharmacies and diagnostic units operational round the clock during the holidays.
\nDistrict administrations have also been directed to establish 24\/7 control rooms and widely publicise helpline numbers through media and social media platforms.
\nThe government further ordered that banned organisations and unauthorised individuals would not be allowed to collect animal hides or donations during Eidul Azha.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
