\nA meeting on the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the fiscal year 2025-26 was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to review financial performance, fund utilisation and progress on development schemes across merged and settled districts.
\nThe meeting conducted a detailed review of sector-wise expenditures, release of funds, pace of implementation of ongoing schemes and financial management mechanisms, a handout said.
\nThe chief minister directed all relevant departments to ensure full and timely utilisation of released funds before the close of the current fiscal year so that development projects could be completed within stipulated timelines and according to approved targets.
\nMr Afridi said transparency, speed and quality must remain the hallmark of all development initiatives and warned against negligence in implementation and financial management.
\nHe also stressed the need for maximum utilisation of Accelerated Implementation Programme (AIP) funds and directed the authorities concerned to adopt a coordinated strategy to increase the current utilisation level from 89 per cent to 100pc to ensure optimum public benefit.
\nThe meeting also reviewed provincial cash flow forecasting for the fourth quarter of the ongoing fiscal year and examined sectoral financial requirements alongside available fiscal resources.
\nDuring the briefing, participants were informed that approval had been granted for the release of Rs5.60 billion for the Counter Terrorism Department to strengthen the province\u2019s counterterrorism capacity and operational preparedness.
\nThe meeting was further informed that Rs2.39bn had been released for due-for-completion (DFC) projects to ensure their timely completion and early provision of public facilities and services.
\nSimilarly, Rs13.825bn had been released under the PRP project, while 100pc funds had been released for PKHA projects.
\nThe chief minister directed the authorities concerned to maintain an effective monitoring and oversight mechanism to ensure transparency in utilisation of public funds and timely completion of ongoing development schemes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
