The meeting, chaired by Punjab Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, focused on promoting bilateral cooperation, modern technology transfer, supply chain management and agricultural value addition. Kirmani said the Punjab government is providing a favorable environment for foreign investors and taking practical steps to modernize the agriculture and livestock sectors. He said Punjab\u2019s livestock industry has significant potential and can help boost exports through improved standards and processing facilities. He said the Livestock Department is establishing disease control compartments across the province to ensure animal health and meet international, particularly Chinese, export standards for meat and other livestock products. The minister also said work is underway on a modern boiled meat processing plant in collaboration with Punjab Agriculture and Meat Company (PAMCO) to support value addition and increase exports. Chinese investors expressed interest in joint ventures in agriculture and livestock, while both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in technology, investment and industrial development to strengthen the agricultural economy.
