\nChinese company at Duddar project treated the Pakistani staff and their families at Daddar project like a family, while participating in Eid\u2019s festival. It arranged a range of activities and prepared everything we needed for Eid, said Muhammad Naeem, an engineer at the project, according to Gwadar Pro.
\nI never expected to celebrate Eid al-Adha so grandly, respectfully and joyfully far from home. This made the holiday unforgettable. The company arranged warm and thoughtful Eid celebrations for all Pakistani staff. We exchanged Eid greetings, offered prayers together and took part in sports matches, including cricket and football.
\nThe project prepared traditional Eid food, delicious meals, meat, sweets and gift packages for us. Everything was well prepared, as if it were a celebration at home. All our Chinese colleagues, including managers and engineers, came to greet us. They said \u201cEid Mubarak\u201d warmly, shook hands with us and wished us happiness, health and peace.
\nAt that moment, I felt respected, valued and deeply moved. I truly felt that we were one big family in Duddar. The Duddar Lead-Zinc Mine is located in Lasbela District, Balochistan, near the Kanraj Valley, about 200 km from Karachi.
\nIt is Pakistan\u2019s largest underground facility for the extraction of lead and zinc. Construction of the Duddar project began in 2004 under MCC Tongsin Resources Ltd. I joined the project in 2017, and since then our Chinese colleagues have worked side by side with us.
\nWhat makes me proud to work here is that the Duddar project always cares about the local community. The company provides jobs for local people, supports local development, donates to the community, helps improve local facilities and participates in public welfare activities.
\nIt also provides professional training, safety education and career development opportunities for local employees. We are proud to work for such a responsible company. This Eid, as I stood with my Pakistani brothers and our Chinese colleagues, sharing food and laughter, I realised something important.
\nThey have shown us that true partnership means standing together in celebration as much as in work. Respect for our culture, religion and dignity is reflected in the way they work every day. This Eid in Duddar was more than a celebration. It was proof that any place can feel like home when people work together with mutual respect and understanding.
\nNaeem, a mining engineer from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan stated that for the past nine years, he has been working at the Duddar lead-zinc mine project, and this year\u2019s Eid will stay with me for a lifetime.
\nBefore joining the Duddar project, I used to celebrate Eid at home with my family. We would wake up early, put on new clothes, go to the mosque for Eid prayers, share breakfast together and prepare the animals for Qurbani.
