Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday appreciated MQM-P\u2019s role as a key ally in the ruling coalition, saying the party had played a positive and constructive role in promoting national development, economic stability and public welfare.
\nDuring a meeting with a delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) here at the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, the prime minister reaffirmed the importance of coalition partners in advancing the government\u2019s agenda of economic stability, development and public welfare, a Prime Minister\u2019s Office news release said.
\nThe MQM-P delegation was led by the party\u2019s Convener and Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. Federal Minister for National Health Services Syed Mustafa Kamal and Members of the National Assembly Farooq Sattar, Aminul Haque and Javed Hanif were also part of the delegation, a Prime Minister\u2019s Office news release said.
\n\u201cMQM-P is an important coalition partner of the government, and its positive and constructive contribution towards achieving the agenda of national development, economic stability and public welfare is commendable,\u201d the prime minister said.
\nHe expressed confidence that the spirit of cooperation between the government and its coalition partners would continue in the future in the larger national interest and for the service of the people.
\nThe meeting included a detailed discussion on the federal budget for the fiscal year 2026-27, with both sides exchanging views on economic priorities and measures aimed at sustaining growth and providing relief to the public.
\nThe participants also reviewed the country\u2019s overall political situation and discussed matters of mutual interest.
\nFederal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and the Prime Minister\u2019s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah were also present during the meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
